To provide a counselling service I collect data, this could be in the form of a text message you send, an email, or if sessions commence; a 'counselling agreement/contract'. If you contact me through my website no data is stored on my website, the information is emailed to me.
None of your data is passed onto third parties without your knowledge (for example if there were safeguarding concerns or a serious crime had been committed then your contact details would be passed on to relevant authorities, or if I was legally obliged to, however you would be made aware of this)
Electronically held data is held on a password protected device. Paper data is stored in a locked cabinet. Data is deleted/destroyed after five years.
I use 'outlook' for emails. Outlook uses a HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure) connection, which means that your username and password are encrypted as they're sent over the internet.
